Be transported back to the 1940’s and celebrate the anniversary of VE Day with Captain Mainwaring and the Upton Home Guard at The White Horse, Broadland Pub of the Year.
The beautiful village of Upton, close to the River Bure, and surrounded by idyllic countryside, sets the scene for an evening of fun and music in the style of the Nation’s favourite army characters.
Enjoy a wartime inspired dinner, and be transported back with nostalgic music of the era from the forces sweetheart, Lauren Simpson.
The chef has created a specially designed menu of the time, using the best local ingredients his ration books can buy, and locally sourced wherever possible.
Thanks to the Upton Land Girls and Boys, and Volunteers, you’ll be in for an evening of fun, food, drinks and your favourite wartime songs.
Booking is essential and themed attire welcome!
Don’t be a Stupid Boy! Muster at 19.00 hours on Thursday 8th May at the White Horse Community Pub Upton.
