Listing your venue on Eat Out Norfolk is easy. Follow this guide to ensure you get the best from your page.

Members can access the Dashboard, Profile, and Active Listings. You can only add/edit listings with a valid plan. Please see below for a detailed guide to the Venue Listing Form.

Venue Name

Enter the name of your venue as it will appear on the website.

Try to make it unique by adding your location. For example, ‘Red Lion Norwich’ is better than ‘Red Lion’.

Try to avoid words like ‘the’, ‘a’, ‘in’, and ‘on’ unless they are a crucial part of your name. ‘Red Lion’ is Better than ‘The Red Lion’. ‘Red Lion Norwich’ is better than ‘Red Lion in Norwich’.

Description

This is a free text field where you should write all the important details about your venue and the food and drink on offer. Try to use some keywords about your food and location.

You can use formatting and insert links to external pages such as your menus or other website pages.

Category

Select all categories relating to your food and drink menus. Please contact us to suggest new categories. 

Venue Type

Select one or more.

The county has been divided into seven districts/areas. Please select the most appropriate area for your location. 

We will add your town or village (if applicable) after your page goes live.

Enter your contact email address to receive contact via the ‘Send Message’ button.

Your phone number is activated via the ‘Call Us’ button on mobile phones.

Please enter your website URLs without ‘https://www.’

Facebook, Instagram & Twitter are supported in this section.

You can add other links in the ‘Description’.

The opening hours system shows visitors to your page your open/closed status in real time.

Please select your full opening or licensed hours in preference to your food service hours to optimise this feature.

To ensure it functions correctly, please use one of the following formats (with a 24 hour clock):
10:00 – 00:00
10:00 – 14:00 & 17:00 – 23:00
Closed

You can state your service hours in the ‘Description’.

Click on the Featured Image & Gallery Images icons to add photos from your computer.
 

To help with search engine optimisation please give your images meaningful names.

red-lion-norwich-beer-garden.jpg is much better than image-001.jpg.
 
There is a maximum of 10 images for each listing gallery. Try to use at least 5 different images or duplicate them and  space them out by dragging with your mouse.
 

The image placed to the left on this form will be the centre image on your web page. The last image in your list will appear on the left on your live page.
 

To help the site run smoothly, there is a maximum file size limit of 250kb. Please try to crop or resize your images to 1000 pixels width and save/optimise them for the web. There are a number of tools and guides online to help you achieve this. Please email us if you need some additional support.
