The Bird in Hand is an award winning family run freehouse & restaurant complete with eight 4* self contained luxury accommodation suites adjacent to the main property. Situated just 7 miles south of the historic city of Norwich. It combines all the atmosphere of a traditional British pub with quality food and drink served in comfortable surroundings.

We are privileged to be surrounded by fantastic producers and suppliers of quality produce in Norfolk & Suffolk. Where possible our culinary team use products sourced as locally as possible including:
- Free-range reared Beef, Pork, and Lamb from Norfolk, and Suffolk
- Fresh fish and shellfish caught off the coasts of Norfolk & Suffolk and the North Sea
- Real Ales from breweries in Norfolk and Suffolk
We offer a large parking area, indoor and outdoor seated areas, restaurants, bar area and, above all, a friendly atmosphere.

Built in a courtyard setting, each spacious, en-suite, self contained room has been thoughtfully designed to offer a truly memorable stay, from the wonderful comfort of our Hypnos king-size beds, with supremely soft pillows, to the sumptuous feel of our Egyptian cotton linens no expense has been spared ensuring you can get a good night’s sleep..
