At The Goat Inn we offer a proper country pub and restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere
Relax in our beautifully thatched building with stunning wooden beams and relaxing snug area with a warming wood burner. In the restaurant the charm carries on with another wood burner and lovely surroundings and atmosphere. We pride ourselves in offering a warm and friendly atmosphere for families and couples with a superb selection of food on our extensive menus. From our home made Steak and Kidney Puddings to delicious fish dishes, selection of Burgers and Steaks from our chargrill and tasty pasta dishes, there is something for everyone. We also offer light bites and childrens meals too, and not forgetting our Sunday Roasts served all day with a selection of meats and a vegetarian option. We do cater also for Vegans and vegetarians and have many Gluten free and Dairy free options too.

Restaurant
We offer an extensive and delicious menu to suit all taste buds. With seasonal Winter options for example Steak & Kidney Pudding, Beer Battered Fillet of Haddock, Wholetail Scampi, Homemade Beef Lasagne and delicious Burgers, pies and many more mouth watering dishes. Come summertime we change to serve our tasty summer dishes which range from local Cromer Crab, Panfried Swordfish Steak, Hunters Chicken, Hoggie, and many more options to say the least, and from the Char-Grill menu the Goat Inn 8oz Gourmet Burger, Cajun Chicken Burger, Gourmet Pulled Pork Burger, Honey & Wholegrain Mustard 10oz D-Cut Gammon Steak, and the 8oz Sirlion Steak, while also still offering a full range of traditional food with some specials added along the way. We cater for all dietary requirements and children too..
Private functions are also offered here with a wide selection of buffet choices.

Drinks
We try to stock a selection of real ales which are looked after very well. . Nanny Goat ale is our house ale which we have on a permanent basis. We also aim to accompany with one or two ‘guest’ ales. These could be from other Norfolk brewers such as Moon Gazer, Lacons, Wolf, Beeston, Ole Slewfoot, Woodfordes , Grain and Humpty Dumpty, to name but a few, or from breweries in other parts of the U.K.
We also provide a choice of lagers including Birra Moretti, Carlsberg and Estrella, as well as Adnams Blackshore Stout, Aspalls cider, adnams wildwave plus a variety of Lilleys ciders which include Crazy goat, Mango and Gladiator which all vary in strengths.
The wine list contains wine from all over the world, so we hope to have at least one you would like, whether it’s red, rose or white.

We have the normal run of the mill on bottles i.e. san miguel, corona, kopparberg ciders, ginger beer, ghostship 0.5%, Old speckled hen 0.5% and Estrella 0%, soft drinks and a very wide range of spirits, flavoured gin and liquors including malt whiskeys.
The pub also has a play area for the children. We do accept dogs but we would appreciate it if they were kept on a lead and ensure any mess is picked up.
We are very close to the Norfolk Broads, the Norfolk coastline (Cromer beach is only 30 mins from us) and our very fine City of Norwich. There are a few fishing lakes within a couple of miles for the fishermen and for the children Wroxham Barns and Bewilderwood are close by. The lovely market towns of Aylsham and North Walsham offer plenty of shops and pubs for you to explore. Aylsham also boasts the small guage Bure Valley Railway, which runs to Wroxham and back. Wroxham is on the Norfolk Broads and boat trips and boat hire are available for a lovely day out.
