Situated on the North Norfolk coast, The Grove offers the perfect setting for your ideal occasion, whether you’re arranging an exciting family occasion or a romantic getaway The Grove in Cromer has it all.
Award-winning dining in North Norfolk
In spring 2024, the restaurant at The Grove will be relaunched as The Garden Rooms, focussing on the wonderful fresh produce grown throughout the year in our polytunnel, glasshouse and veg gardens, with a new-look menu and daily specials from the glasshouse.
We believe our two AA rosettes are a tribute to our commitment to serving seasonally inspired and locally sourced food, which is in abundance here in Norfolk. Dining in The Garden Rooms is an award winning experience that should not be missed.
The Garden Rooms is fast becoming one of the top food and drink destinations not only in Cromer, but throughout Norfolk.
Our strong belief in supporting local producers and showcasing local, seasonal flavours have helped place The Grove firmly in the spotlight as one of Norfolk’s most sought after dining experiences.
Much of the produce we bring to the plate can be found growing only hours before in The Grove’s very own fruit and vegetable gardens, glasshouse or poly-tunnel. Until he passed away in 2023, these gardens were lovingly cared for by octogenarian and former owner, John Graveling, but now have a new lease of life under gardener, Leon Longhurst, formally of East Ruston Vicarage Gardens. Featuring a seasonally inspired and locally sourced menu, we make good use of the abundance of delicious Norfolk ingredients to be found around us. We believe the quality of produce available to us in Norfolk is the finest in the country, which is why all of our meat and fish is sourced from local suppliers including Graves Butchers and Cromer’s mighty crab fishing fleet.
As owner, Richard Graveling, says: “As a small restaurant we have the luxury of being able to give each individual dish real care and attention, which is what our guests really appreciate”.
The Garden Rooms is open seven days a week, but closes for the first three weeks of January.
Dinner is served from 5pm, bookings online from 2pm till 4pm is for afternoon tea only.
