Guinness Arms
Relax with a drink at the bar and enjoy delicious, locally sourced food, before staying the night in one of the Guinness Arms’ individually designed bedrooms, each inspired by members of the Guinness family.
The Guinness Arms is a stunning 16th Century coaching inn in the heart of the Suffolk village of Icklingham; the premises has a beautiful, large, landscaped garden that rolls down to the River Lark. The pub itself has a large conservatory style dining area, a smaller, more intimate dining area, two bars and eight bedrooms, located in the barns adjacent to the pub.
We are part of the Guinness family owned Elveden Estate, which also own and run the Elveden Inn. The Estate consists of 22,500 acres that include farming, woods, conservation, game, a Courtyard with shops and a restaurant along with a number of properties.
All the produce is sourced from the estate farm and wild countryside wherever possible, then further afield to take advantage of the exceptional array of East Anglian producers that surround us.
Elveden Estate has been owned by the Iveagh family since 1894, having been previously occupied by the Maharajah Duleep Singh, head of the Sikh faith. Duleep Singh was attracted to the estate for its plentiful deer hunting, still a popular activity at Elveden today, with four species roaming wild in the countryside.
