The Banningham Crown
Welcome to The Banningham Crown
A traditional 17th Century timbered inn in the quiet village of Banningham. Log fires in the winter and a sheltered garden and patio in the summer. CAMRA Good Beer Guide listed freehouse serving five real ales. Free wi-fi in the bar. Families and dogs welcome. Full locally sourced menus and bar snacks available seven days a week.
Run by the same family since 1993 the pub provides a traditional country pub atmosphere.
We focus on providing good quality food, friendly staff and excellent customer service. Log fires and wood burners warm the pub during the winter months and the sheltered patio and gardens provide a great place for dining al fresco during the summer. Food is served seven days a week at lunchtimes and evenings during the winter months and all day throughout the summer. Our menus are produced in-house by chefs using seasonal and local produce. This is complimented by great value wines from around the world and cask ales.
We also provide a separate area for private functions and meetings, free Wi-Fi connection, covered smoking area, disabled access, disabled toilet and large car park.
Food At the Crown
Our menu items that are gluten free are marked with the symbol (gf) and those that can be prepared gluten free on request are marked (gfa). If you require gluten free bread, please ask. Please advise your server if you have an allergy to any food.
A list of all food allergens contained within our dishes is available upon request. Please ask a member of staff if you require further information concerning the dishes on our specials board.
If you require a smaller portion or wish to make any changes to your meal, please do not hesitate to ask a member of staff and we will do everything we can to help. Vegan meals are also available (ve or vea).
We are not a fast food restaurant and as all our food is cooked fresh to order there may be a delay at busy times. We always endeavour to ensure all waiting times are kept to a minimum but please let us know if you are in a hurry and we will do what we can to assist you.
We accept credit/debit cards and cheques with card. Service is not included and is at your discretion.
Local Sourcing
We use only the finest quality produce obtained locally wherever possible and not convenience foods.
A list is available for you to see on our Proud of our Suppliers board. We believe in supporting our local farmers whenever possible and we only use Silver Spoon sugar. Our ice cream is from Parravani’s of Diss. Vegetables and salad are sourced from local suppliers.
Also, our oil suppliers collect and recycle our used oils for reprocessing into bio diesel.

Our bar features a great selection of 5 Real Ales from Greene King and Adnams as well as regular guest Ales from local breweries including Woodfordes, Humpty Dumpty and Wolf Brewery to name but a few!
