The Walpole Arms
The Walpole Arms dating back to the 18th century sits within the heart of north Norfolk’s picturesque countryside in the village of Itteringham.
Welcome to The Walpole Arms, a traditional country pub serving modern British Cuisine.
Using the highest quality locally produced seasonal ingredients, our chefs prepare an innovative and exciting menu from other local high quality producers.
Our traditional bar area with Norfolk red brick, oak beams and wood burner to keep you warm in those cold winter months, offers both diners and drinkers a charming experience in which to relax, whether it is for a romantic meal for two, a special occasion or just a pint of one of our local real ales.
The Walpole Arms features in the Good Food Guide and is the only pub in Norfolk to have won the coveted Michelin Bib Gourmand Prize ten years in a row.
Our menus change on a daily basis, and cater for meat lovers and fish eaters as well as vegetarians alike. A fabulous new chargrill means that chargrilled meat and fish are a regular speciality on our menu.
Bar and Garden
Our traditional bar area is full of country pub charm, with a wood burner warming up cold winter nights, welcoming both diners and non-diners alike, whether it is a pint of one of our many real ales such as Woodfordes Wherry, Adnams Southwold, a glass of wine from the extensive wine list, or a meal from our à la carte menu. Seating up to 40 people, diners can enjoy choosing from our seasonal menu and daily specials board.
Restaurant Garden Room
Our Garden Room is the perfect venue to host family parties, business meetings and annual dinners. For a larger event a marquee can be erected adjacent to the terrace to extend the available space.
Currently The Walpole Arms itself does not offer any accommodation, but we are lucky to have The Old Pump House located just a few miles away in the historic market town of Aylsham.
