The Plough Inn
Our traditional country inn is located just one mile south of the historic market town of Aylsham halfway between the city of Norwich and the coast at Cromer.
It is in an ideal location for exploring the beautiful county of Norfolk. Whether you are staying for business or leisure, our guests will find genuine warmth and attention to detail, as well as a passion for service in our bar, restaurant or simply at the reception desk.
Bradley Whitlam leads a team of friendly and efficient staff whose aim is to provide comfortable surroundings, great food and drink with excellent service for their customers.
Our well stocked bar has a soft seating area, a good selection of wine and well-kept real ale, and is the ideal place to meet up with friends for a drink before lunch or dinner.
Our attractive restaurant has a bright and busy atmosphere during the day and is cosy and candlelit in the evening. Meanwhile, our menu offers a wide selection of traditional favourites and interesting specials; everything is created on the premises by our talented head chef and his team, making good use of the wonderful array of local, seasonal produce sourced from local suppliers.
There is a courtyard garden, ideal for enjoying an al fresco lunch or a drink or two before dinner. We now also accept your trusty dog companions only on our bar area.
Accommodation
Bedrooms at The Plough Inn are spacious and decorated in soft hues with fresh white bedlinen, creating a relaxing, uncluttered ambience. The en-suite bathrooms are well lit and modern with quality toiletries and are of course, spotlessly clean.
All rooms have flat screen multi-channel Freeview TVs, guest wi-fi, and tea and coffee making facilities.

National Trust properties Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall and Sheringham Park are all close by. The Bure Valley Railway and Poppy Line are also nearby, as are numerous golf courses and fishing lakes. The fine city of Norwich, complete with two Cathedrals, museums, theatres and shopping, is within easy reach by car or bus.
