Welcome to The White Horse Upton!
The White Horse is Norfolk’s longest established Community run pub and restaurant, located a few minutes’ walk from Upton Staithe on the River Bure. With a dog friendly bar and snug area, serving a wide variety of real ales and ciders, holiday makers and locals alike can relax in a traditional pub setting. Our restaurant serves a selection of both traditional and seasonal dishes, many sourced locally, and for those customers in need of supplies or gifts, our adjacent community run shop will cater for many of your needs.
Our extensive pub garden now boasts The White Horse Stables Bar & Barn, an all-weather venue holding festivals, community events, live music and fetes, and which is also available for private hire. Free year-round moorings are available at the nearbye staithe, and camper vans are welcome to stay free of charge in the pub’s large car park. Also look out for our regular themed nights and live music events for families and revelers alike.
Named the Broadland Pub of the Year 2025, we are delighted to once again be named as finalists in the 2026 Awards. This incredible achievement wouldn’t have been possible without our dedicated staff, tireless volunteers, loyal customers, and supportive friends.
