The Three Horseshoes

Venue

Our pub is family run for all to enjoy at any time of year. Come and relax in the bar or restaurant and enjoy home cooked food prepared by the owner chef and his team.

We pride ourselves on having a great selection of wines, local ales, gins and soft drinks.

The garden is a lovely place to pass the time of day when the weather is favourable and you can eat there in sunshine or in the shade.

Our rooms are not quite ready yet, but when they are they will be sublimely comfortable such that you will feel relaxed from the minute you arrive.

Convenient for Holt and all the North Norfolk coastline, The Three Horseshoes is a great place to stay. We have five luxurious rooms that are under refurbishment at this very moment and will be ready soon. Each room has a new ensuite bathroom fitted to a high standard and they have Hypnos beds that you will find extremely comfortable. We think you will particularly like our luxurious local Norfolk duvets (summer or winter weight provided) and pillows that you just sink into. You might not want to leave!

Head Chef, Ryan Galvin, and his team are well qualified to cater for your "foodie" needs. They provide an eclectic and individual mix of dishes that aims to suit all tastes and their individual and caring hand is always in evidence. They believe in using quality fresh ingredients in all their dishes, using many local suppliers: the nearest one being in the field opposite!
On certain days there are guest chefs and the team prepare menus with a particular theme.

Good local ingredients, herbs from the garden and a great kitchen team, who put it all together. The menu changes at least every week, so there is always something different to choose.

We take great care to select our ales and wines. We feature local breweries in particular Woodforde's and The Norfolk Brewhouse (Moongazer). Our wine list is extensive and we have a cabinet full of bin ends should you wish to find something special. You will also find a good selection of gins, rums and whiskies, and bottled beers, ciders and minerals.

Ryan Galvin has over 15 years experience in the cooking industry. His passion for food was ignited by his parents who ran a Thai food business and with family living in Thailand, Ryan visits regularly making sure to sample the cuisine. Ryan has worked at many popular Norfolk restaurants including; The Hoste Arms and Titchwell Manor, and was named runner up 'Chef of the Year' in the 2015 EDP awards.

Our menus change a little every day, and almost entirely every week, to accommodate the kitchen team's inspiration and desire to try out new flavours and delight their customers.
We also strive to find and use the best ingredients possible with an emphasis on the locally sourced.
Whether it be a trip to Italy or a market or venue close to home, the kitchen team are always looking for new ideas flavours and ingredients.

It is amazing to be able to to say that we have two fantastic suppliers of meat in the village of Briston, H V Graves is a renowned butcher with a counter in Bakers & Larners with their own shop and herd in the village. Duncan Jeary has his renowned pedigree herd of Aberdeen Angus cattle, often in the field opposite the pub! Nothing could be more local or greater quality.
All our suppliers are carefully chosen to ensure fresh quality ingredients for every day of the week.

We are fortunate to live in a beautiful part of England, accessible yet far enough from London. We have lovely market towns for shopping, renowned wide open beaches and excellent pubs of course. If you choose to come and stay with us, there are many beautiful places on the doorstep to explore and things to do. We have done our best to list as many tourist hot spots as we can to help you make the most of your stay.
