The White Horse Upton
A traditional family and dog-friendly country pub, with a great selection of real ales, home cooked food and a large beer garden.
Owned by the community since 2012.
For over 200 years The White Horse has been providing locals and visitors to Upton a comfortable and friendly place to meet, relax and enjoy good food and drink.
In July 2012 the pub was purchased by the community with additional support from The Prince’s Countryside Fund, Broadland Community Grants, Broadland Community Renewables and the Norfolk Community Foundation.
A Royal Visit

Prince Charles was presented with a White Horse loyalty card, displayed his skills behind the bar by pulling a pint, and unveiled a plaque to commemorate his visit.
Prince Charles, said: “I am extremely impressed with the level of community spirit that was shown by people here to save their pub”.
“Projects like the Pub is the Hub was created with the intention to keep these rural pubs, and not only them but shops, post offices, banks and more. And I am happy to see how well the shop is doing.”
