At SugarBeat we bring you a unique eating house that captures our take on hospitality. Great homemade food, available from 9.00am for breakfast and throughout the day for lunch and dinner. Combined with fun drinks and a truly wonderful outside terrace, bar and marquee. To top it all we have 4 lovely bedrooms.
Step through our door and you’ll find an eating experience that immediately makes you feel at home. We are a family business and care deeply about our customers and their time with us. For us it’s a home from home experience.
We’re crazy about good food, about atmosphere and about making you feel at home delivering a first-rate service. We believe we’ve captured that in the birth of SugarBeat Eating House.
Why are we called SugarBeat eating house?
Our name’s origins lie in our love of fun, music, and the wonderful county of Norfolk.
Following a complete refurbishment of the former Dunn Cow pub, we felt it was important to give our newly minted property a name to match its fun, colourful and playful interior. A clear line distinguishing the old from the new. Operating in a venue with over 400 years of hospitality history, we wanted to create a name that brought the pub from the past an into the present. What better way of doing this than giving it a new name!
With our love of the fine county of Norfolk, we took one of its staple agricultural ingredients, Sugarbeet and injected a bit of fun & a musical Beat together with a description of what we are and hey presto, on 1st July 2014 – SugarBeat Eating House was born.
Featuring 4 musically named rooms (Jackson, Bolton, Vandross & Manilow), an all day playlist to suit all ears & live music events throughout the summer months, we believe that music plays a great part of any hospitality venue. The ‘eating house’ clearly describes what we do! Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday of the year (Except for Christmas day and Boxing day, we like to give our team some time at home with their families!) We hope you enjoy what we believe encapsulates our vision of relaxed hospitality.
Bed & Breakfast
Our newly renovated accommodation featuring air conditioning, super king-sized beds and en-suite bathrooms with newly fitted showers to make your stay even more enjoyable.
Our four tastefully decorated rooms at SugarBeat Eating House are all accessed independently from our car park and located on the 1st floor of the building. Making this the perfect place to rest and explore the beautiful surroundings of Norwich and Norfolk.
Table Bookings
More often than not, you should be able to drop in and dine with us at short notice, but if you would like to be on the safe side, we recommend booking as we can get pretty busy, and we would hate for you to be disappointed.
Private Function & Events
We offer the perfect venue for all functions, big or small. From our private function spaces to our outside terrace, bar and a stunning marquee. We offer a truly memorable experience for your special occasions and corporate events.
Picture a beautiful view over open countryside, a sunny terrace with plenty of shaded spaces and seating to accommodate every party size. The opportunity to have breakfast, lunch and dinner outside on a fine Norfolk day. Alternatively, you might like a cold beer or lively cocktail from our outside bar. Cast a glance over our manicured lawn and you’ll see our beautiful, sculptured marquee with seating for 170.
